Rodolfo Peraza is a Cuban-born, U.S.-based artist whose work centers on technology and its relationship to public space, both virtual and physical. His practice focuses on extended reality (XR) and data visualization. In 2017, he founded the MUD Foundation Inc. in Miami, an organization dedicated to supporting tech-centered arts programs and reducing barriers to access to immersive technology in the arts and education.
Peraza’s work has been widely exhibited, including presentations at SIGGRAPH in Los Angeles and the Pérez Art Museum Miami. His art is held in the permanent collections of the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) in Canada and the JUMEX Collection in Mexico. He was the recipient of the Cannonball WaveMaker Grant and the Knight Arts + Tech Fellowship in 2021.

Betzabet Consuegra, MUD Foundation Music After School Program Director, is an accomplished music professional with extensive experience in teaching and conducting. She began her music studies at the age of 11, focusing on Canto Choral, and graduated as a Choral Conductor from the National School of Arts (ENA) in Havana in 2003. She later earned her degree in Orchestra Conducting from the Instituto Superior de Arte in 2007.

Alejandra is a computer graphics engineer and visual creative who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Design and Media from the NYU School of Engineering. She has worked on immersive experiences for use in healthcare, entertainment, luxury fashion, automotive education, video games, and research. Her focus is on creating memorable digital experiences through 3D animation, augmented reality, and web. During 2022, Alejandra was Geometry-Artist-in-Residence at the University of Toronto's Dynamic Graphics Project Lab, during which she contributed to cutting-edge research in 3D Animation and developed a virtual reality abstract aquarium.

Gonzalo Celestino is an Electrical Engineering student based in Florida, originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Bilingual in Spanish and English, he is passionate about technology, robotics, and emerging innovations.
He is an active member of the Miami Dade College North Campus Robotics Club, where he contributes to the development of an AI‑powered FarmBot. His interests also include artificial intelligence, particularly exploring AI tools and large language models.
What Students Will Do
XRCamp provides structured, hands-on workshops that introduce youth to creative digital production using accessible tools. Activities include:
01 | 3D Modeling
Students learn to build and shape 3D objects and environments using beginner-friendly tools. They explore form, proportion, and how digital models become part of XR spaces.
02 | Basic Coding
Participants are introduced to JavaScript essentials that help them add behaviors, movement, and interactivity to their projects.
03 | XR Environments
Participants are introduced to JavaScript essentials that help them add behaviors, movement, and interactivity to their projects.
04 | Spatial Sound
Youth experiment with sound in virtual spaces, learning how audio placement affects mood and user experience.
05 | Visualization & Virtual Exhibits
Participants explore digital twins, online museum spaces, and ways artists present work on the internet.
06 | Digital Art & Internet Culture
The curriculum introduces youth to key ideas in media art history and the evolution of digital culture to help them understand the artistic and social context of the tools they use.
07 | Final Presentation
The camp concludes with a showcase where students present their projects to families and peers.
